Case study
Senior Coliving
Senior Coliving proposes a new way of designing residential environments for a generation that seeks autonomy, well-being and community without sacrificing spatial quality.
Sector: Senior Living & Real Estate
Services: Spatial strategy, interior architecture, user experience, environmental identity

The proposal transforms the senior residential model into an experience closer to hospitality: warm spaces, clear pathways, lively common areas and a constant relationship with natural light, vegetation and honest materials.
Challenge and objectives
The challenge was to design a senior living environment that didn't feel like an institution, but rather like a contemporary residential community. A place capable of balancing privacy, support, intuitive guidance, and shared living.
- Create a domestic, warm and recognizable atmosphere.
- Facilitate orientation through clear routes and spaces with their own identity.
- Integrate nature, light, and natural materials as part of the daily experience.

Solution
The strategy is based on a bright interior street that serves as the social heart of the project. From this street, residential units of a domestic scale, landscaped courtyards, and common spaces designed for everyday gatherings are organized.
The design uses wood, glass, greenery, and soft tones to create a feeling of home. The circulation space is no longer a corridor but an experience: a place to walk, rest, converse, and maintain a constant connection with the outdoors.
User experience
Every spatial decision is conceived from everyday life: benches at rest points, vegetation as a visual reference, transparencies towards gardens, shared lounges with a domestic character and a sequence of spaces that invites effortless movement.
The result is a senior environment that communicates security without rigidity, community without loss of privacy, and well-being without clinical language.

Outcome and impact
- A Senior Coliving proposal with a clear and commercially differentiated identity.
- Greater perceived value thanks to the combination of hospitality, wellness and residential design.
- Spaces designed for community, orientation, climate comfort and daily use.
- A concept adaptable to senior residences, assisted coliving and real estate projects focused on well-being.

Key Points
- Senior Coliving as an alternative to the traditional residential model.
- Design focused on well-being, autonomy and community.
- Warm interior design with natural materials.
